Notes:
On the 8th, 9th and 10th January 1986 Marillion played 3 concerts at The Hammersmith Odeon in London, they used some materials from days 9th and 10th for their mini LP "Brief Encounteer" and the album "The Thieving Magpie". The two vinyl bootlegs "Selling Fish Live 3 & 4" (absolutely no relations with "Selling Fish By The Pound 1 & 2") presents part of the day 8th concert. Usually both album are tagged as "audience recording" but this is not true. The source is a good soundboard (possible a broadcast event), unfortunately as master tape for these bootlegs was used a standard low noise cassette (tipically sound... low high frequencies, tape noise, hisses and more) but the result is however enjoiable.
Parts of this show can be found on other different records as the vinyl "From: Hammersmith Odeon 8-1-86" (M 11685) a true audience recording and the double CD "Hammersmith Odeon 1986" (another who claim "audience recording", it have the full concert but i don't known if his source was another tape or the original tapes used for "Selling Fish 3 & 4" or just these 2 vinyl bootlegs with an add of the missing tracks).
The two bonus segments #17 & #18 are taken from "Hammersmith Odeon 8-1-86" and here we have a new problem. Into the short cut intro for "The Web" in "Selling Fish 4" Fish's words are "this is called The Web" but in the complete intro from the other bootleg he say "this is a song called The Web", i've compared the songs and they seems different (both Misplaced Childhood suite are identical). What is the source for The Web on "Hammersmith Odeon 8-1-86" bootleg? Sorry, but I cannot share this song with this doubt.
Well, here the full set list and correct order tracks for the 8th January: 01) The Thieving Magpie 02) Emerald Lies (Intro) 03) Script for a Jester´s Tear 04) Incubus 05) Jigsaw 06) The Web 07) Misplaced Childhood 08) Fugazi 09) Punch and Judy 10) Market Square Heroes.
Last, I've re-united the 2 parts of "Heart Of Lothian" in a single track, originally the 1st part is at the end of side A and the 2nd part at the beginning of Side B.
