length: 46 minutes

NOTES:
This is a very, very historic "period piece" type video.
It was filmed at Wayne State University TV Studio, in Detroit and the host's name is Dave.
The setting is a small tv studio (probably a public television studio) with Ted and the host sitting on the floor of small stage. Ted has several guitars laying around - all of them are Gibson Birdlands. It's very layed back, and I doubt that there was any script for this as Ted just chats about whatever and occasionally does some jamming on one of his guitars. Ted literally starts off the video laying on his back and playing guitar for several minutes. The host seems to know a little bit about rock and roll, but he's hardly an expert.
The host puffs away on cigarettes most of the show. A sign of the times - Ted said the word "shit" and the host told him he had to watch his language because they were on tv. Although he looks quite normal by modern standards, at the time, much of society looked upon Ted as a long-haired freak.
There's some banter with the people in the control room who are really getting a good laugh from the discussion going on between Ted and the host.
Ted makes some "local" Detroit references to many things, such as Michigan Outdoors host Mort Neff (an outdoors/hunting show in Michigan), the Purple Pickle restaurant on Southfield Rd. and Nine Mile, and many local musicians.
Although he shows signs of it, Ted hasn't yet become the cocky mofo that he is today.
There are logical chapter points throughout the video, some of them are for the various guitar jams, and others are placed at the beginning of certain conversations.
The video cuts before reaching the end - I was told the full video doesn't exist. I don't know how long the original video was, but this portion is 46 minutes long.
It was filmed in black & white and considering the age and rarity of the video - it is in decent condition.
Generally speaking the video is clear and glitch free, however, there are about a dozen or so tape rolls in it.

Ok folks, this is a studio of collection of Jimi's work that you cannot be without!! 5CDs, all sourced from masters, 1st gen or 2nd gen. Most of it is 1st gen.

It truly is an unbelieveable collection of 1969 and 1970 studio sessions and the content, performance and sound will blow you away I know!! There is a lot of talk between Jimi, bandmates and the control room and all you have to do is listen to the Power of Soul Sessions on CD4 and the sound quality when the engineer speaks makes you feel like you are in the booth with him!

The title of the set is very apt as these really are Unsurpassed Masters of the man with the guitar!! trust me, you will enjoy this download no doubt about it. I have more great Hendrix goodies that I will upload over the near future. All sourced from low gen recordings!!

This particular set was put together by a Hendrix preservation group about 5 or 6 years ago.

Here we have just under an hour of Rod's 1976 Christmas concert from London's Olympia. Quality- wise this seems to be sourced from a good quality VHS tape and is from the Japanese Wow-Wow channel and was used for the "Rock Masters" DVD boot. I think this was originally shown by the BBC and what we have here is all that was transmitted.(If anyone has a longer version I would be interested)

Really great, energetic show from the rescheduled second show of their two night stand in Chicago.
A very nice recording; amazing what moving 20+ rows closer to the stage and some new wind screens can do for a recording. The band gave out commemorative baseball hats with 'Rush 1974-2112' on the front and 'The Rain Date - RUSH - Chicago - 2010' on the back to every fan in attendance as a special thank you for coming to the rescheduled date

Steecoe didn’t start recording (audio and video) until the end of “Light Up The Sky,” so the first song is only mrmojohalen’s angle, and the audio is from mrmojohalen’s camera.

The crowd around Steecoe sang the entire show – pretty much every word. It wasn’t too close to the mics though, so it wasn’t overbearing at all, and mixed in quite nicely with the overall sound.

Notes by the uploader:
I traded for this show several years ago. It sounds quite good for it's time and I suppose I'd give it an A- because the vocals and instrumentation are clear and fairly free of audience interference. Sound, as always, is subjective. See what you think. I don't believe I've seen this show on DIME ever so here it is. Although the Too Old album is not my favorite, I do love the live renditions of these tunes and I'm glad they performed so many, if only on the European leg of the tour.

Technical info: On my copy (and I imagine on all) Taxi Grab was cut and divided over two tracks. A small portion of the song is missing. From this split until 28 seconds into the cheers for more before the Guitar Solo just prior to Wind Up, the recording was very slow which put it out of sync with the rest of the recording. I increased the speed by 8% in this area to match the rest of the show in Audacity and spliced Taxi Grab so it is one track minus the several seconds of dead space it previously contained.

Other than the changes I mentioned, I left the files as they were previously tracked on my CD copy I received. Please do not change my files and re-up unless you can make a marked difference. Enjoy the show.

This little-seen broadcast was a successor of sorts to Young's fabled Rust Never Sleeps. This show comes complete with a cameo appearance by the late Sam Kineson as a pissed off Neighbor, complaining about the noise from the show. The ferocious performance of a pumped-up Young that makes
this arguably the single greatest video document of Neil Young and Crazy Horse.

Bad Wizard Archive Edition. Timecode is replaced by a black bar. Original artwork (with wrong date) included. Jabulon 2014.

This came to me as BMW 'Midnight Ravers' [recorded at the Shelter Studios, Tulsa, Oklahoma (http://db.etree.org/lookup_show.php?shows_key=441882)], but in fact it is 1973-10-24. There are different versions of this Capitol rehearsal floating around (some with 'Come A Long Way', a New Zealand Documentary from 1979 or Zimbabwe 1980 on the same disc). These versions are approx 29 minutes or 86 minutes long. This Bad Wizard version is almost 180 minutes long. It contains a second rehearsal session (probably shot the same day). The shorter 86 minutes version only contains the first 14 songs (till Get Up Stand Up). Don't let the video bitrate or black bar scare you much (see pics). If I had to rate this 40 year old rehearsal footage I'll give it a solid 7/10.

Nice CD displaying the complete version of this show. Yes, Won't Get Fooled Again is complete with a good final!! The sound quality is certainly better compared with the Final Stage With Keith (CD) (TR014 Tristar). The medley of My Generation is wonderful. The spine of the cardboard sleeve states PORYDOL POCP- 2000. (*reverse the R and the L and you have "Polydor") The number on the CD itself is 12151977 (both on the disc and printed on the front of the disc).

Notes:
This DVD was sent to me by my friend Tolvis who received it from another trader. Huge thanks to both for sharing and for permitting me to upload it!
Several (NTSC) DVD copies of a ~45 min TV broadcast of this show were uploaded over the years. Before I recently received this 51:05 min (PAL) DVD, I was entirely unaware of any longer TV broadcast - even though I did sometimes wonder if it might exist, because the famous, but misleadingly titled SBD bootleg CD "Europe 1993" runs over 50 min and differs tracklist-wise from the ~45 min TV broadcast. This ~51 min TV broadcast has exactly the same tracklist as "Europe 1993". Thus, it contains "Master of Insanity", "After All (The Dead)" and "Iron Man", all of which are NOT included in the ~45 min broadcast (the latter containing the song "Black Sabbath" instead). Since both "Master of Insanity" and "After All (The Dead)" are favourites of mine, that was really good news for me.

Video and audio quality of this 1st gen VHS > PAL DVD is really nice but far from perfect (its most obvious flaw being the noise before and after "Computer God"). Check out snapshots and audio sample below.

The ~45 min broadcast with the song "Black Sabbath" is well-circulated, but only on NTSC DVD. Since Italy was a PAL country, a PAL version would be preferable.
